France, with its rich culture and history, is an exceptionally attractive country and offers many sites to its visitors. My name is Walter, a native of Finland. I grew up in Versailles and have lived in Paris for many years.
I studied foreign languages and history at the Sorbonne University Paris before devoting myself to the profession of guide ( Diplôme de Guide Interprète National Tourisme à l’Université De Marne La Vallée ).
I especially like to meet people from different countries and cultures and exchange ideas and experiences with them. I never get tired of making them discover Paris, its mysteries, its art and history.
I speak English, German, French and Swedish, and would be delighted to have you on a tour.

Art History and Museums: Paris is the city of culture and art. Studying history of arts as part of my university degree made me realise my passion for learning more about arts and culture and influenced greatly my decision to become a professional tour guide. I also quickly starts to guide groups in the Louvre in English and German as part of my training. This is by the way one of my favourite museums

Architecture and Gardens: Paris has an incredible architectural diversity. From the Roman times through to the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, Classic to Modern. Strolling the Parisian gardens (such as the Jardin du Luxembourg, the Tuileries) makes you realise how different they are from the gardens of other cities.

Fashion and jewellery : Walking through the chic arrondissement of the golden triangle (close to the Avenue des Champs Elysées) or the Place Vendôme for the jewellery stores is undoubtedly a dream.

Vintage furniture and flea market:
I can guide you through the meandering streets of the flea market of Clignancourt (St Ouen) or the ‘Puces de Vanves’ trying to find a rare antiquity, some lavish or quirky furniture or simply letting you be seduced by a souvenir to bring home.

Off the beaten tracks: Waking is the best way to discover Paris off the beaten tracks. Hidden passages, small gardens, local cafés and bistros. The real Paris for its residents!
